Today was a great day! I picked up my race packet for the Oshkosh Half Marathon, and then mom joined me from La Crosse, WI.
Then my Tri Club hosted a swim clinic for anyone interested in Triathlons. I think this is an especially a good idea, as swimming is often what holds people back from getting into triathlons. The clinic sorted people roughly based on their ability and because there were so many instructors per students, there was lots of individualized attention, which was awesome.
Confession: There were A LOT of instructors and not as many swimmers as we had registered. All the teachers were probably better teachers than I was, so I didn’t end up being needed. So I stood around looking cool and talking to Chad about Ironman I did manage to take some pics of the clinic though:
I then left after about an hour of “supervising” from the deck to go hang out more with mom. We went out for pasta for dinner then – gotta carbo load for the half tomorrow! I’m just praying that it doesn’t rain too hard – or not at all!
